BPT or Bachelor of Physiotherapy is an undergraduate Academic Course in a Medical Science Field known as Physiotherapy. Physiotherapy uses physical agents like exercise, massage and other modalities for providing treatment to those patients whose movement and function are threatened by ageing, injury, disease or environmental factors. The duration of BPT is 4½ years including internship of 6 months.

Hence, a person having done Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS) will focus on working closely with patient's symptoms as well as reactions in order to ensure that the treatment provide is in most cases personalised.

A.N.M

The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought. The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years. The minimum educational requirements shall be 10 + 2 in Arts (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Science or Health care Science - Vocational stream ONLY passing out from recognized Board.

Diploma in Nursing

Minimum education: 10+2 class passed with Science (PCB) & English Core/English Elective with aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board. Student shall be medically fit. Students appearing in 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% marks. Student shall be admitted once in a year.

Post Basic B.Sc.

Passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent examination recognized by the university for this purpose. Those who have done 10+1 in or before 1986, will be eligible for admission. Obtained a certificate in General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as R.N.R.M. with the State Nurses Registration Council. A male nurse, trained before the implementation of the new integrated course besides being registered as a nurse with State Nurses Registration Council, shall produce evidence of training approved by Indian Nursing Council

B.Sc. Anaesthesia Technology

An anaesthesia technician is an Allied Healthcare professional who assists in administration and monitoring of anaesthesia and has an extensive knowledge of anaesthesia techniques, instruments, supplies, and technology. Anaesthesia technicians are mainly employed by anaesthesia departments or operating theatre suites, but can be found in other areas of clinical practice including emergency departments, intensive care units (ICU) and day surgery clinics. Anaesthesia Technicians work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team that includes doctors, nurses and support staffs.

B.Sc. Cardio Vascular Technology

Current management of various cardiac disorders includes complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, which involve use of various equipments, computer hardware, tools, machines, and pharmacological agents. Handling of these equipments and tools as well as their regular maintenance requires advanced and focused knowledge of the scientific principles on which the tests and equipments function, as well as to have hands-on skill in using these equipments correctly and safely. The personnel who carry out these responsibilities also must have adequate knowledge of structure and function of the human body, especially the cardiovascular system. Optimal delivery of cardiovascular health care is based on the safe use of the equipments and devices.

B.Sc in Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory Therapy is a relatively new branch of Allied Health Sciences and a profession devoted to the scientific application of technology in order to assist in the diagnosis, treatment, management and care of patients with cardiopulmonary and associated disorders. Respiratory Therapists are important members of modern healthcare teams. Respiratory Therapy did not exist as a separate stream even a few decades ago. Due to increasing pollution level a lot of people suffer from various respiratory disorders. The increasing pollution level in the atmosphere and other genetic disorders lead to severe lung problems. Asthma and Bronchitis are the commonly known respiratory diseases.

B.Sc in Optometry

B.Sc Optometry is an Undergraduate Program offered by Amrita Center for Allied Health Sciences. Optometry is a health care profession which deals with the examination, diagnosis, treatment and management of diseases and disorders of the visual system. It is a vision care science. One can also define it as the science of eye equipment (including lenses and spectacles) which is imbued with the idea of improving the vision of the human eye and remove all kinds of obstacles of sight which an individual may experience. B.Sc Hospitality Science

B.Sc. Hospitality Studies or Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Studies is a three year graduate Hospitality Management course. Hospitality Studies is the process in which friendly reception and treatment of guests or strangers is to be taken. Programme focusing on hospitality, travel, tourism and general management leading to careers in the hospitality and services sector. Studies focus on the management of food, beverage and accommodation in a service context from both a technical and operational perspective. B.Sc Bio Technology

B.Sc. Biotechnology or Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology is an undergraduate Biotechnology course. Biotechnology is a field of applied biology that involves the use of living organisms and bioprocesses in engineering, technology, medicine and other fields requiring by-products. B.Sc. in Bio-technology is generally three academic year course and the syllabus for the course is also divided into three years. It may be provided on part time basis by certain institutes. B.Sc. Bio-technology is an important one that provides a lot of career scopes to the applicants after its completion.

B.Sc in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics

B.Sc in Renal Dialysis

B.Sc. Renal Dialysis Technology or Bachelor of Science in Renal Dialysis Technology is an undergraduate Bioscience course. Program is designed to prepare students to administer haemodialysis treatments to patients with renal failure under the supervision of a nurse or physician. This program frequently includes in depth instruction in basic anatomy and physiology, dialysis preparation, dialysis prescription interpretation, extracorporeal circuit and dialyzer set-up and maintenance, patient preparation, equipment monitoring, venipuncture and local anaesthesia administration, taking vital signs, documentation and communication, safety and sanitation, emergency intervention, and professional standards and ethics.  Subjects usually studied under this degree are Cardiac Care Technology, Respiratory Care Technology, Dialysis Technology, Imaging Sciences Technology, Clinical Medical Lab.
